Foodborne Illness Investigation
The purpose of this program is to investigate all suspected foodborne
illness complaints to determine if the illnesses were caused by the
food, services, or facilities at a licensed food service operation. When
a foodborne illness is identified, the investigation works to determine
the source, eliminate the conditions causing the illness, and prevent
its reoccurrence.
If you suspect that you have a foodborne illness, please contact the
Calhoun County Public Health Department, Environmental Health at (269)
969-6341.
If your illness is severe and you have obtained medical assistance,
your medical care provider can contact the Calhoun County Public Health
Department during any non-business hours.
For further information on foodborne illness, please visit
the
Michigan Department of Agriculture.
Non-foodborne Complaint Investigation
The purpose of this program is to address complaints about food
service establishments that do not involve suspected foodborne illness.
All complaints received are investigated.
To make a complaint, please contact the Calhoun County Public Health
Department at (269) 969-6341.
