Job SummaryUnder the general direction of the Deputy Treasurer and the immediate supervision of the Fiscal Officer, the Fiscal Specialist performs a variety of supporting financial tasks including receipting County revenue and the reconciliation of general ledger accounts. Prepare periodic summaries of accounting records and data.
Starting Wage16.91
Minimum RequirementsThe job requires knowledge normally acquired through the completion of a Bachelor’s Degree with courses emphasizing accounting, finance, and general business. Two to four years of experience in general accounting duties such as, reconciling accounts, G/L, A/P, A/R, plus general office knowledge; OR an Associate Degree in Accounting with four to six years of progressively more responsible experience will be considered.
StatusFull-Time Non-Exempt
Bargaining UnitGELC - Bargaining unit dues and fees apply. Employees hired into this position must participate in the MERS Defined Benefit pension plan a the current contribution rate of 8.5%.
