The staff in this program is responsible to provide surveillance, epidemiological investigation, and prevention/control of communicable diseases in Calhoun County.
In addition to providing TB testing, follow-up, and medication to Calhoun County residents, staff
monitor legally reportable diseases. Reports are taken from local physicians and laboratories to
facilitate disease surveillance. Staff also educates the community to prevent disease transmission,
alerts the public to the risk of disease, or investigates particular disease events.
