Purpose
To provide input and oversight for the county’s annual budget preparation process, including review of budget assumptions and targets, recommendations regarding salaries and benefits, and other related policies and appropriations, and resolutions. This committee is supported by County Administration and Finance staff and conducts budget hearings for the judiciary, elected officials and department heads.

Information Technology Executive Committee
Purpose
Provides advisory input regarding technology strategic planning and prioritization, resource allocation and the development of information technology standards, policies and procedures.

Purpose

Retirement Committee
Purpose
To administer the Calhoun County Savings 401(k) Plan as provided in Section 11.02 of the Savings Plan, as amended; and the Calhoun County Deferred Compensation Plan as provided in Paragraph 7 B of the Deferred Compensation Plan, as amended.

Periodically as called by the Committee Chairperson, when changes need to be made to the 401(k) Plan or when changing vendors.

Purpose

Senior Millage Allocation Committee
Purpose
To educate the public regarding senior service needs, to prioritize needs with available resources, to develop the basis for a competitive model and system of awarding bids, to establish/preserve the integrity of the allocation process and to foster public trust.

Fourth Friday of the month at 8:00 a.m. in the Lower Level Conference Room, Marshall County Building, 315 West Green Street, Marshall, Michigan.
Authority
The Board of Commissioners created the Committee on December 19, 1996.
Membership
13 Members - Revised Bylaws adopted June 7, 2007 to provide appointment of from 1 to 3 Commissioners and reduced membership from 18 members. Membership distribution shall be reflective of the geographic, cultural/ethnic and personal background differences in the Calhoun County populace, specifically including senior/consumer representation. Three year appointment terms, with two additional three year renewals. Current members at the time of the adoption of the Revised Bylaws may be considered for reappointment. Future members not serving at the time of the adoption of the Revised Bylaws that have served nine consecutive years must sit out at least one year before being eligible for reappointment.
