Job Title76-2013 School Wellness Program Manager
Job SummaryThe Calhoun County Public Health Department is looking for a dedicated full-time School Wellness Program (SWP) Manager. Under the direction of the Health Officer, the School Wellness Program Manager participates in the development, organization, and implementation of all school wellness programs included within the School Based Health Centers and the School Wellness Program. The SWP Manager develops, enhances, and evaluates school wellness programs that provide clinical services and health education to Calhoun County students in contracted schools.

This individual will assist in the planning, development, implementation, and evaluation of the SWP and coordinate the resources necessary for SWP activities including the development and oversight of the budget and grants. The SWP Manager supervises assigned staff to ensure the program structures and processes are consistent with State and Federal guidelines (including HIPAA) and adhere to established policies and principles of risk management; This individual will implement efficient practices to develop and maintain quality services, ensure opportunities for nursing continuing education to meet staff and program needs, and develops, implements, reviews plans for programs as requested by State and other funding, and maintains and develops contractual relationships with school districts and local service providers for program services needed.
Starting Wage$61,984 - 75,342
Minimum RequirementsThe job requires knowledge normally acquired through the completion of a Bachelor’s degree required in Nursing or related health field, Master’s preferred. Must be a current Registered Nurse license in the State of Michigan. Knowledge of pediatric issues, including but not limited to: development, health, mental, emotional, risk-taking, and educational, and the ability to effectively communicate with children/adolescents. Four to six years of program management, including supervisory experience with skills necessary to effectively manage the daily operations and administration of programs.
