13300 15 Mile Road
Marshall, MI

Hours:
Tuesdays - 12 p.m. to 4 p.m.
Wednesdays  -  9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

ATTENTION (7-29-2023):
Calhoun County’s Recycling Department has updated the recycling lists for the Marshall Recycling Center and Mobile Recycling Trailer due to current market availability. The #3-#7 mixed plastic category for recycling will be replaced with #5 PP plastic only. For more information, read the press release here. Plastic no longer accepted includes #3, #4, #6 and #7. Please look at your plastic at home and do not bring #3, #4, #6, #7 items to the recycling centers. Plastic labeled #1 and #2 are still accepted. Staff will be educating recyclers onsite about the plastics change to help make this adjustment easier.

The Center takes all colors of glass bottles and jars. This includes glass candle jars (can have wax inside), as well as, picture frame glass 16x20 frame size or smaller. Picture frame glass should be packaged in a cardboard box for safety.  Bottles and jars need to have lids removed.

NO: Pyrex, microwave turnable plates, and glass casserole dishes

and not accepted materials.

Requirements:
  • Recyclers must remain in their vehicle
  • Volume limited to what would fit in a 96-gallon curbside cart
  • Recycling needs to be sorted (see flyer)
  • Recycling should be placed in a non-returnable container (bag or box)
  • Containers that weigh more than what one employee can lift, will be left in your vehicle

You may experience a longer wait time which is why we are limiting the volume of material each resident can bring per trip and asking residents to put items in containers they do not want returned at this time.
